Hi, everyone! This is just a short post to say that I made it to Varanasi, and I just was on the roof of my hotel looking out over the Ganges, trying to take it all in–pretty amazing. Let’s just say that the hotel has character and leave it at that–but, I must mention that my room actually has a real key! I can’t remember the last time I had a physical key to a hotel room. Anyway, they also supposedly have a wireless connection, but it isn’t working now–“maybe tomorrow.” Luckily, right around the corner there is this great hippie-throwback internet cafe, with Fair Trade handcrafts for sale. I think I will be coming here often! I’ll post again tomorrow–in the meantime, here are a few more pictures of the animals I saw in Agra yesterday.

Here in Varanasi!
